Accreditation/Student Outcome Data
The MA-SLP Clinical Track and the AuD education programs in both speech/language pathology and audiology at the University of Colorado Boulder are accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
CAA (Council of Academic Accreditation) Statistics
All graduate students complete the Praxis exam prior to graduation. The department reports 100% successful completion for both Au.D. and M.A.-SLP programs during the current CAA accreditation period.
The department works with graduating students seeking employment during the fellowship year in speech-language pathology and can report 100% successful outcomes for graduating M.A.-SLP candidates within three months of graduation both in Colorado and across the country.
Graduates who have successfully completed their clinical doctorate degree (Au.D.) during the current accreditation period (2011-2012) are currently employed. The majority of Au.D. students completing their clinical doctorate are continuing in the program to complete their Ph.D. in Audiology at this time.
Completion of the program within the advertized time period is averaged at 99% for both programs.
The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is currently accredited in the areas of speech-language pathology and audiology for the period 7/1/2006 – 6/30/2014.
