The Marion Downs Hearing Center is a joint clinic of University Hospital and the University of Colorado at Boulder Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS). We provide professional audiology care to patients of all ages and clinical education to students in the Au.D. program. Audiological services provided at the center include hearing assessments, hearing aid evaluations, fitting of hearing aids and other assistive technology, follow up and repair services, cochlear implant mapping and VEMP testing. All of our fee based services are provided by students in the Doctor of Audiology program, and fully supervised by our professional staff of licensed and certified audiologists.

Diagnostic Services
The Marion Downs Hearing Center offers a full range of diagnostic services for children and adults. Our diagnostic services include hearing tests, middle ear evaluations, otoacoustic emission testing, and Central auditory processing evaluations, and VEMP.
Services Related to Hearing Aids and Other Assistive Devices
The Marion Downs Center is a full dispensing practice offering a full range of technology, including the most advanced digital hearing aids. We offer several open fit models as well as traditional custom devices. We dispense hearing aids from several leading manufacturers at very competitive prices. We also repair and service all makes of hearing aids. We fit a full range of custom ear molds, including filtered musician ear plugs, noise protection plugs, and custom iPod/MP3 ear pieces. Additional products available include amplified telephones, infrared television amplifiers, and FM systems. Hearing aid fittings and evaluations are conducted using state of the art procedures, including real ear gain measures and diagnostic coupler measures of hearing aid performance. We also conduct cochlear implant mapping services at this location.
Community Outreach
Hearing aid support clinics and hearing screenings are held at various community locations and retirement residence centers in Boulder. Our staff is active in the Boulder chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America and the Boulder County Service Providers Group. We provide education and information services related to hearing loss and prevention, hearing aids, and other assistive technology to schools and community groups.
