Headshot of Dr. Ramig The SLHS Department is proud to host The Science and Practice of Efficacious Speech Treatment for Parkinson's Disease by Dr. Lorraine Ramig PhD, CCC-SLP.

Dr. Ramig spent her academic career at the University of Colorado Boulder. She was a senior scientist at the National Center for Voice and Speech in Denver, CO and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in NYC. Her research in geriatric and neurological disorders has been funded by the National Institute of Health for more than 20 years. Dr. Ramig has been part of the LSVT since 1987, when she treated Mrs. Lee Silverman and launched LSVT LOUD, which is now considered the "gold standard" of speech treatment for those with Parkinson's disease.

We are thrilled to have her back at CU for this lecture.
