Kathy Tucker, M.A. CCC-SLP, is a clinical instructor who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Language and Learning Disorders. She also co-supervises a Language and Auditory Processing Disorders team that consists of graduate students in both Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.  Kathy’s interests include working with people with developmental disabilities to develop functional literacy skills.

Kathy received her A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1985, where she majored in Russian Language and Literature. In 1990, she earned an M.A. in Slavic Linguistics from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Kathy received her M.A. in Speech Pathology from CU-Boulder in 1994. She has worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, pediatric rehabilitation, and private practice. She has served on the Colorado Department of Education Educator Effectiveness Group to revise rubrics for the evaluation of SLPs in public school settings. She has also participated in Boulder Valley School District’s strategic planning workgroup for improvement of literacy instruction and outcomes.
